About Rick

With over 15 years of international experience, I’ve built my career helping organisations scale by aligning the right people with the right opportunities — particularly for the NSW Government & in the fast-evolving areas

of technology, digital transformation, and executive leadership.

 

From Wall Street to Silicon Valley, and now proudly working across departments across the NSW Government, I’ve held roles that span stockbroking, entrepreneurship, founding a startup, and leading recruitment strategies for some of the most complex and dynamic sectors. My background in banking, events, tourism, and hospitality has shaped a practical, solutions-focused approach that blends commercial insight with a people-first mindset.

 

I’ve lived and worked across the US and Europe, having been born & raised in Sydney. As a former professional rugby player (and current BBQ enthusiast), I believe that great partnerships - like great teams - are built on trust, consistency, and clear communication.

 

I’m currently leading the NSW Government practice at West Recruitment, where I work closely with public sector clients to build high-performing teams across Accounting, Business Support, Engineering, Operations, Human Resources & Technology sectors. It’s work I’m passionate about, because it drives real impact for communities across the state, while delivering the real outcomes for Departments.

  • I played professional rugby in Europe
  • I worked as a Wall St Stockbroker after College in the US and also Co-founded a start-up in Silicon Valley
