About your new employer Our client is a growing and well-established engineering consultancy delivering practical and value-engineered solutions across a diverse range of projects within the building services industry. As part of their continued growth they have the opportunity to add an additional mechanical engineer in a permanent, full time position. This role will be based our of their Newcastle office. About your new role As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work closely with clients, architects, builders and other engineering disciplines to develop practical and value-engineered HVAC solutions. Your responsibilities will include: Designing and developing HVAC systems and components in line with project requirements and specifications. Creating HVAC schematics, layouts and detailed designs using Autodesk Revit. Collaborating with architects, builders and other engineers to ensure effective system integration. Preparing technical reports, specifications and project documentation. Providing technical support to construction teams during installation and commissioning. Identifying technical issues and developing solutions to improve system performance and reliability. Building strong client relationships and contributing to the delivery of value-engineered solutions. About you To be successful in this position, you will have: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 4+ years experience in HVAC design and engineering. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, design principles and relevant industry standards. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and other relevant Autodesk products. Existing registered design practitioner status or an interest in progressing towards being registered is advantageous. The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a collaborative team. Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
