Compass Education Systems Specialist (SIS) Inner West Location / Western Sydney Location 5 days onsite Immediate Start - this week or next week Day rate contract - Short Term **Applicants must be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident. Applicants will only be considered who are already based in Sydney** About Your New Role We are looking for a technically strong Compass Education Systems Specialist to support a busy school environment. This is not a general administration role. You will be the hands-on Compass technical specialist, working with teams across the school to configure, test, troubleshoot and improve how Compass is used. You will work with a team of 100+ from day one, so excellent communication skills are needed. A key initial priority will be supporting the Enrolments team to build and configure an application within the Compass Enrolments module. You will need strong, practical knowledge of this module and the ability to understand requirements, configure solutions, test changes and support UAT. You will also work closely with the Curriculum Office and wider school community across areas including attendance, mark books, semester reports and the Parent Portal. What You’ll Be Doing Configure, administer and troubleshoot Compass Education Support the Enrolments team with the Compass Enrolments module Help build, test and implement applications and workflows within Compass Support testing, UAT and system changes Provide hands-on support across Parent Portal, attendance, mark books and semester reporting Troubleshoot day-to-day Compass issues for staff Work directly with a large user community, providing clear and practical solutions About You You will come from a hands-on technical background; computer engineering, programming, testing or similar. You will have previously worked with the Student Information System (SIS) Compass Education and a strong technical background in systems administration, application support, testing, UAT or a similar technical discipline. You must have strong knowledge of the Compass Enrolments module and Parent Portal, alongside practical experience across core Compass functionality. You will be comfortable dealing directly with users from day one. Your communication style will be clear, concise and solution-focused. You can quickly understand the problem, explain the fix and get users moving again. Previous experience working with Compass within a school environment would be highly regarded.
