About your new company Our client is a NSW Government agency delivering a major, high-profile operation. They are now looking for an experienced operations professional to take ownership of a significant temporary site and oversee the planning, set-up and ongoing operation of the site. About your new role This is a hands-on operational leadership role where you'll be across the detail, coordinating people, contractors, suppliers and logistics to ensure the site runs safely and efficiently. You'll have responsibility across the full site lifecycle, from initial set-up through to day-to-day operations and eventual decommissioning. Your role will include: Overseeing the site set-up and ongoing operations Coordinating contractors, suppliers and service providers Managing site access, traffic movement, logistics and temporary infrastructure Making sure WHS, risk and emergency requirements are in place Developing operational plans, schedules and daily run sheets Working closely with logistics, technology, security and internal teams Managing contracts and budgets Leading and supporting a small team Dealing with issues as they arise and keeping the operation moving There will be plenty happening at once, so you'll need to be organised, comfortable making decisions and able to keep multiple priorities moving at the same time. About you You'll be an experienced operations or site professional who is comfortable taking ownership and working across a complex operational environment. You'll ideally have: Experience managing a busy or complex operational site Strong contractor, supplier and stakeholder management experience A solid understanding of WHS, risk and emergency procedures Strong planning and organisational skills The ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines Strong communication and negotiation skills Experience managing budgets and contracts A practical approach to problem solving Relevant qualifications and/or strong industry experience Current WHS and First Aid qualifications, or the willingness to obtain them What's in it for you?
