David Smith is the Founder and Executive Director of Enertia Talent, the specialist energy division of West Recruitment, where he partners with organisations across Australia to find the executive and leadership talent powering the energy transition. After growing up in Western Sydney, David completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Western Sydney University before beginning his recruitment career with a global recruitment firm. Following seven successful years leading its Western Sydney accounting practice, he co-founded West Recruitment with Sean Johnston in 2006. What began as a boutique recruitment business has grown into one of NSW's leading privately owned recruitment firms, supporting clients across Executive Search, Accounting, IT, Operations, Engineering, Human Resources and Business Support.
