About Your New Job:
This is a hands-on role with some focus on process improvement. Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading a small team of Accounts Receivable Officers and providing support on a day-to-day basis.
• Providing guidance, mentorship, and support to the team, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Ensuring banking, receipting, and allocations are completed in a timely manner
• Administer monthly reporting obligations and audit requirements
• Ensure all questions and disputes are efficiently resolved, and manage escalated customer issues
• Credit review and monitoring, and managing monthly collections
• Responsible for the monthly ageing report
• Liaise with Legal and Collection agencies
• Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the effectiveness of the credit team
• Managing any bad debts in line with the company's credit policy
• Working closely with the Sales department, ensuring appropriate credit limits are set
• Ensuring credit claims are investigated and resolved in accordance with company guidelines
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency.
• Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and managing key accounts
• Creating and maintaining efficient policies and procedures.
• Ensuring smooth implementation of process changes with minimal disruption to customers.
About You:
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
• A background in leadership roles within Credit / Accounts Receivable
• Strong leadership and people management abilities to inspire and guide your team.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
• A proven record of identifying process improvements and effectively executing change.
• Proficiency in analytics and problem-solving to drive data-informed decisions.
• The ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative approach to working across departments to achieve common goals.
• Proficiency in large ERP systems as well as Microsoft packages
• Tertiary qualifications would be ideal however, not essential
