About YOUR new job:

The Cost Accountant will be a key business partner in decision-making for the development of new products, value optimisation, and margin performance across all current and future products. They will play a pivotal role in the organisation, being responsible for product costings and the analysis of performance to production standards.

Reporting to the Group FP&A Manager, some of the core tasks in the role will include but are not limited to:
•Developing and maintaining a costing model and standard costing in the system
•Reviewing and analysing standard costs vs actual performance and initial costings.
•Working closely with the commercial and research and development teams to design costings and conduct pressure testing/sensitivity analysis for new and existing products in development.
•Advising the Finance Team on all new and existing product development changes to be reflected in the forecasting and budgeting models
•Preparation of monthly variance reports with commentary to assist in the delivery of monthly management and board reporting
•Maintaining profit improvement plan trackers for operations and procurement-related initiatives
•Preparation of monthly forecasts and yearly budgets

About YOU!
•Will possess sound costing and management accounting experience.
•Advanced Excel and experience using a large ERP
•Will hold a professional accounting qualification.
•Ideally, has previous manufacturing industry experience or comes from a tangible goods business with a strong focus on inventory or supply chain.
•Is a strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team. This role will see you out from behind your desk and directly involved in the operations of this fast-paced and large-scale production business.
•Ability to work autonomously in high-pressure environments.
