Job Description
About your new company:
Join a leading organisation in the critical infrastructure sector, delivering essential services to communities across the region. This organisation plays a key role in supporting everyday life and enabling a more connected, resilient, and sustainable future. With a strong commitment to innovation, customer experience, and transparency, it continues to set benchmarks in stakeholder engagement and service delivery.
You’ll be part of a high-performing Corporate Affairs team dedicated to delivering clear, consistent, and impactful communications that build trust and enhance reputation.
About your new role:
As Digital & Social Media Lead, you’ll be the strategic and hands-on driver of the organisation’s digital presence. You’ll lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive digital media strategy that elevates brand visibility, strengthens community and stakeholder engagement, and improves digital performance across web and social platforms.
You will be responsible for:
• Designing and delivering a dynamic digital content calendar across channels including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter).
• Managing the corporate website as webmaster, ensuring a seamless, user-centered experience.
• Overseeing digital marketing campaigns (SEO, SEM, email, and paid social).
• Using data insights, analytics, and reputational metrics to inform strategy and refine content.
• Leading digital communications during incidents or emergencies, including on-call support on a rotating roster.
• Building internal capability by advising stakeholders on digital best practices and content opportunities.
This is a highly collaborative role, working across multiple business units to identify opportunities, shape narratives, and deliver a consistent, high-impact digital voice for the organisation.
About you:
You’re a strategic and creative digital communications professional who thrives in fast-paced, service-oriented environments. You’re confident advising at all levels of an organisation and comfortable managing both strategic planning and day-to-day execution.
You will bring:
• A degree in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience in leading social media and digital content strategies within complex organisations or agency environments.
• Strong capability across content development, analytics, campaign management and user experience (Sitecore experience highly regarded).
• Demonstrated success managing digital platforms—especially LinkedIn—for brand and reputation building.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate business priorities into clear and compelling content.
• A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to perform under pressure and manage competing priorities.
What’s in it for you:
• Attractive salary package: $155,000 – $175,000 including superannuation.
• Flexible working: Hybrid model with a mix of remote and in-office work.
• Purpose-driven work: Contribute to a critical sector that serves the community every day.
• Career growth: Work alongside experienced professionals and grow your profile in digital strategy.
• Impact: Shape the online voice of a major organisation during pivotal moments—from innovation milestones to emergency response.
