Working in a busy complex environment with a supportive culture the role would suit an experienced Payroll Manager who is looking to utilise their previous staff leadership skills as well as their passion for process improvement.
About your new job:
The role will see you deliver quality customer service through processing and preparing accurate and confidential payroll services in accordance with relevant industrial awards, workplace agreements and legislation.
• Leading and motivating a small team of payroll officers and oversee the payroll process across Australia
• Training and ongoing development of staff
• Assisting the team with resolving payroll queries
• Payroll reconciliation, month-end & year-end reporting
• Interpreting various EAs and Awards and ensuring legislative compliance
• Prepare and process Workers Compensation reports
• Complete statutory reporting for Workcover, ATO & ABS
• Review payroll processes and procedures and implement improvements
• Business partner with various department leads to create effective payroll processes
• Upholding high customer service standards and protocols across the business
• Lead projects, including system upgrades and automation for the payroll department
• Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements
• Support all internal and external audits related to payroll
About You:
You will be an experienced Payroll Manager with previous staff leadership. To be successful in this position, you will ideally have exposure in the following:
• A proven track record in the area of payroll and staff management
• Knowledge and understanding of Australian employment law
• Experience with upgrading or implementing new systems
• Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with relevant departments
• Proactive and can-do attitude as well as passion for process improvement
• Ability to work in a structured and customer-focused environment
• Exposure to a variety of payroll systems and streamlining processes
