About your new role

Reporting to the Technical Delivery Manager, the Senior Engineer position has been created to lead the design, development and maintenance of the microservices environment for the company. The successful applicant will have a detailed understanding of message-based architecture and modern best practice.

Some of the key tasks aligned to this role will include:
•Participate in the architecture and design of the microservices ecosystem.
•Design, develop and maintain microservices utilising your C++, C# & Javascript skills.
•Architect & deliver a message-based microservices system
•Develop containerized applications using Docker across both cloud and on-prem environments.
•Collaborate across functions to define, develop and deliver bespoke new features.
•Take responsibility for the performance, reliability and quality of microservices.
•Maintain code quality and identify issues to fix bugs.

About You!
•You have a solid understanding of what good architecture and best practice looks like.
•You are a seasoned Developer who is skilled with C++, C# & Javascript
•You bring ‘hands on’ experience building high performing, scalable systems.
•Are skilled at working with message-based microservices (ie: NATS.io (ideal), Kafka, Rabbitmq, Activemq, redis)
•You’re proficient in containerization technologies within a hybrid structure (Docker ideally).
•Have experience with Azure cloud platforms and have an understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, ORM).
•Interpersonally, you are a proactive and open communicator who enjoys both the teamwork and individual contributor aspects of your role
