About Your New Employer:
West Recruitment are proud to be partnering with one of Sydney's most well-established names. We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst with cross-functional business and technical skills. In this role, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, gathering and translating business requirements into technical specifications, supporting solution design, and ensuring successful implementation of technology initiatives. Your time will be spent 50% across an SAP program and 50% other areas.
About Your New Role:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and technical requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and system design documents.
• Work closely with developers, architects, QA testers, and other team members throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Assist in the design of technical solutions that meet business objectives and are aligned with best practices.
• Create process flows, data models, and interface specifications.
• Conduct gap analyses and impact assessments for new initiatives or changes.
• Support project planning, tracking, and reporting activities as needed.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), defect management, and deployment support.
• Act as a subject matter expert for both business processes and technical solutions.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications: Required:

• Bachelor’s degree Preferred
• Passion for the role, drive to do well and a self-starter attitude
• Strong background as a Business Analyst with at least 3-5 years in a technical or IT-focused role.
• SAP experience ideal but not essential
• Confident with senior stakeholders. Must have excellent verbal communication skills and proven examples of working with teams at all levels of management
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Experience with requirement gathering, process modeling, and system analysis.
• Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, SQL, and Excel.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Experience with APIs, data integration, and/or enterprise system implementations.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python, R).
• Experience in a specific domain (e.g., finance, healthcare, e-commerce) is a plus.
• Agile certification (e.g., CSPO, PMI-ACP, SAFe) is a bonus
